Your privacy is very important to us. When you contact us and give us your details, you are giving us personal information. You can trust that we will treat it carefully and confidentially. This privacy statement explains how we do this.

This statement also applies to the website www.hospitality.be and the associated platform, both of which are owned by Zanzibar bv, having its registered office at Pottenbrug 2, 2000 Antwerp, with company number BE 0462 214 205 (hereinafter referred to as ‘Zanzibar’ or ‘we’).

By using our services and website, you agree to this privacy policy. We reserve the right to change this privacy statement at any time, so please check back periodically.

What kind of personal information do we collect?

We collect personal information only when you choose to provide us with identifying information, either through the website or otherwise. This includes your name and contact details, bank details, demographic information (such as age and gender) and login details (such as passwords and logins).

In addition, we collect the content of each communication for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services.

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. However, in this case, certain information may be collected via cookies, for example to record the language in which you view the site.

How long is personal information retained?

We keep personal information for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services or for other essential purposes, such as to comply with our legal obligations.

What are your rights?

Right of access and rectification

You may exercise your right of access and rectification at any time in accordance with the Belgian Data Protection Act. You can do this by sending a request, together with a copy of your identity card, to hospitality@znz.be.

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive the information that you have provided to us in a structured, ordinary and machine-readable form, even if you wish to transfer that information to another party.

Right to erase data

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, you may at any time exercise your right to have your data deleted. You can do this by sending a request to hospitality@znz.be, enclosing a copy of your identity card, or by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ button in any email you receive from us.

If we receive such a request, we will no longer use your personal information. We will only retain this information to the extent necessary to comply with any legal obligation.

Right to object and complaints

If you want us to stop processing your data, you can withdraw all or part of your consent at any time. Please note that this may mean that we will no longer be able to provide you with our services. You can do this by sending a request with a copy of your identity card to hospitality@znz.be.
If you have any questions or complaints about the processing of your personal data, please contact hospitality@znz.be. We are committed to responding to these inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.

If at any time you feel that one of your rights has not been respected, you can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Privacy Commission (see: https://www.privacycommission.be).

Is your personal information safe with us?

We have put in place the physical, technical and organisational security measures necessary to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. As a result, only authorised persons can access your information, following a dual authentication process on our server, which is secured by NTX, including encryption using SSL technology.
